Profile

Charles David Tauber, M.D.

Head of Mission for Southeast Europe

Dr. Tauber was born and raised in New York City.  He graduated from Reed College in Portland, Oregon USA in Physics and obtained his medical qualification from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.  He has done a number of courses in the mental health of migration and psychological trauma.

 

Dr. Tauber has worked with non-governmental organizations since 1966 and with refugees and asylum seekers since 1988.

 

He is a member of the World Psychiatric Association’s Section on the Consequences of Torture and of the European Association for Psychotherapy’s Working Group on Forced Migration.

 

Dr. Tauber has been the Head of Mission  since 1995.

Sinisa Stanivuk

 Deputy Head of Mission

Mr. Stanivuk is responsible for management and for education.

Sinisa Stanivuk, born in 1974, is a native of Vukovar. He attended the  Secondary School of Economics in Novi Sad.  

Since 1997 he attended PRONI Institute for Social Education.  He is in the last stages of obtaining his BSc in Politics and International Relations from the London School of Economics. 

In the past ten years  he has worked in several  NGO's on issues of human rights, reconciliation, youth and capacity building.  He volunteered  for CWWPP from 1997 to 1998, worked for us shortly in 2004, and currently has been working with us since September, 2007.

 

Sandra Maric

Institute Initiator and Coordinator

smaric@cwwpp.org Ms. Maric was born in 1964 in Zagreb, Croatia and completed a masters in Sociology at the University of Zagreb. 

She has taught at the Gymnasium (advanced secondary school) in Vukovar and has worked as a professional in a children's home in the region.

Ms. Maric joined the CWWPP in September, 2006.
